about

From the time I was a young teen, I always had a camera in hand. I have many shoe boxes to prove this point. I admit now there was not much artistic value to my work at the time, but there was certainly a deep appreciation for all things photography.

My name is Molly Bea Wickes, and I, alongside my wonderful husband, Wes are currently raising our two little ones, Vivian and Bo. Although, my degree is in education, and I've spent many years working with young people, it is my children that have brought me back to the love of photography. There is nothing like capturing those silly faces-- her innocent grin or his furrowed brow-- that make my heart melt. I have treasured these images and it's these expressions that my philosophy of photography is now based.

My goal is to capture the expressions that define an individual or family. It is these "looks" that your friends and family love! Gone are the days of freezing, straightening, yelling, saying "cheese" and all the other things that make a photo session inauthentic and miserable for most involved. With mollybea photography you are sure to find a fresh perspective that offers a genuine look into the eyes of the person in front of the lens. I look forward to capturing the real you soon.
